Not quite short enough for flash fiction. A quick little fairy tale from an unexpected viewpoint with several familiar fairy tales interwoven within it.
Dragons take flight, but the caretakers have a job and duty to perform no matter how dangerous. Short but action-packed.
A short story of a girl who "stole" her dragon companion. Memories and a flight away from a current danger intertwine to make matters worse.
This excerpt won me a place in the Anthology mentioned in the Portfolio section listed as the Map.
I am also currently working to expand this short story into a full length, but stand-alone novel.
