More than once someone came in with an old shirt wanting it to be reprinted or the design put on something else. Usually, this required me to do research first to make certain it was permissible to do. More than once I found myself on the phone or in an e-mail exchange with a corporation or another graphic design company to obtain permission and sometimes to even receive the print to convert for our printers.
As for this one, I had been given an old, weathered, and wrinkled t-shirt with much of the print worn, faded, or distressed due to time and wear. The veteran that owned it wanted a reprint for himself. It took a lot of research to restore portions that had been lost or were missing.
It was good seeing the lack of dry eyes when he was presented with the printed shirt, replacing what was thought lost or irreplaceable.
